5,000 pounds of organic vegetables to date!
Sunday Workshops are an opportunity to work alongside volunteers of all ages, learn organic gardening techniques, and produce healthy food for those who need it most. We invite volunteers of all ages to join us at any of the upcoming workshops.
Maintenance Mornings (every Wednesday, 9-11 AM)
Residents looking to help out with garden maintenance, and learn from guest Master Gardeners, can come by the more casual Wednesday Maintenance Mornings. We hope to see you! Children should be supervised.
The Harvest Garden is a community garden established in 2010 on a previously vacant SFPUC-owned lot in Hillsborough. Volunteers of all ages raise organic fruits and vegetables from seed to harvest. All produce grown is donated to local food banks. The mission of the garden is to encourage Hillsborough residents to grow edible plants using organic methods, and to educate and expose children to vegetable gardening in hopes that they will plant gardens of their own one day. Volunteering counts towards Community Service. Drop-ins are always welcome!
